Episode Summary

Today I received another letter from the NHS giving me an update on my impending treatment.  Well, when I say another letter, I mean it is exactly the same as the one I received last month, just with a different date on it.

In this episode I share my thoughts on feeling like a number in an impersonal administration system where no one appears to be taking any accountability.

Episode Show Notes

00:13 – 6 months ago I was sat in front of my GP telling them I wanted to take my own life. After 7 weeks they told me I was on the waiting list for treatment that would be available in about 6 months time.

00:53 – Since then I have had two letters updating me of my progress on the waiting list. Today I had a third – it was exactly the same as the previous two letters.

01:15 – How I am feeling about this letter – it bothers me that it is impersonal – I feel like I am a number in a faceless system.

02:43 – The fact the letter is not signed makes me feel like no one (human) cares and that no one is taking accountability for my treatment.

NOTE – If you go and view the post on this blog about episode 095 you will see how I felt the same way about the letter when I got the last one.
